What's New in SDO 2.1?

SDO 2.1 Specification Progress

The SDO collaboration has been working to clarify and further enhance the SDO specification. This includes a large number of clarifications as well as several significant improvements.
The most important new features include:

  • Open content property creation
  • MetaData annotation (constraints)
  • Load/Save XML with JAXP Source and Result
  • DataType conversion
  • Nullable Property control
  • HelperContext interface
  • sdoXML:many XSD annotation

In addition, there are currently over 50 minor clarifications that have been resolved including the minimum JDK level, which in SDO 2.1 is raised to 1.4.
