  • Members of OASIS have formed a new TC to evolve and standardize SDO specifications that simplify the way SOA applications handle data. Using SDO, application programmers can uniformly access and manipulate data from heterogeneous data sources, including relational databases, XML data sources, Web services, and enterprise information systems. Proposers of the OASIS SDO TC, which is associated with the Open CSA Member Section, include representatives of BEA, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Xcalia, and others. The TC's first meeting will be a teleconference on 29 Nov. New participants are welcome.
