The Collaboration of Industry Leaders promoting the Service Component Architecture & Service Data Objects Specifications are pleased to announce a brand new OSOA Collaboration Supporters Community initiative. Industry feedback on these SOA specifications has been very positive and this new initiatve is aimed at companies, organizations and individuals who may wish to review, comment on or input to the Specifications. Further details of the OSOA Supporters Community initiative is provided on the OSOA Supporters Home Page.

  • "The first demo of components of the Eclipse SOA Tools Platform (STP) project will be one of the highlights as the Eclipse Foundation opens its East Coast conference in Cambridge, Mass. today with more than 60 technical sessions.
    While the STP project isn't scheduled for a downloadable preview release for several months, Oisin Hurley, distinquished engineer at Iona Technologies Inc. will show off some of the key components in a session on Thursday titled "Developing and Deploying Services Using the SOA Tools Platform."......."

A draft Policy Framework specification was published on www.osoa.org today, 11th September.

This specification describes the framework that will be used to attach policies to SCA assemblies to handle infrastructure capabilities such as Security and Transactions.

Today, an initial draft of the Web services binding specification was published.

This specification describes how Web services can be used in conjunction with SCA components both to provide and to consume services using the Web services protocols.
